The Ultimate Therapeutic Massage Experience
You hear the word massage and instantly you think of relaxation, however, massage can be therapeutic as well. We offer myofascial, deep tissue, neuromuscular, Swedish massages, manual lymphatic drainage and prenatal. You can also add additional tools such as hot stones, upgraded oils and lotions to further enhance your experience. With most massage styles, the massage therapist can utilize oils, different tools such as rollers and hot stones (for an additional price) in conjunction to their hands so they can properly work and relax the muscles.
I’m a recent graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, and I’m so excited to begin this next chapter as a massage therapist.
Whether you’re dealing with everyday stress and tension, sore and tired muscles, or simply need some time to relax and reset, I’m here to help.
I specialize in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Myofascial massage.
My goal is for you to leave feeling lighter, more relaxed, and better than when you walked in.
Deep tissue massage is one we have all heard of but what is it? Deep tissue massage is used to help relieve chronic pain and injury pain. It is done with slow firm strokes that really get down into the deeper muscle tissues to release and relax them.
Swedish massage is the most common. The one we all think of when we hear “massage”. Swedish massage is more than just for relaxation though, it also helps to improve circulation, relieve tension, and increase oxygen in the blood.
Myofascial massage is used to increase range of motion and to reduce stiffness by focusing on pain derived from myofascial tissues. These are the membranes that wrap, connect, and support the muscles.
Neuromuscular massage is a combination of acupressure, myofascial massage and deep tissue massage used to release pain by targeting trigger points and pressures.
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a cutting edge technique in the massage field that works to reduce swelling and speed injury recovery. The therapist uses light touch to gently promote the flow of lymph fluid and clear lymph blockages or sluggish pathways. Our office is equipped to use MLD on clients with an intact immune system.
The Ultimate Reiki Experience
We will make you comfortable on a treatment table, fully clothed, and in a peaceful environment. There is no manipulation or massage, but gentle laying on of hands lightly on or above secure areas of the body. The session will last about 45 minutes, with time before and after to discuss (one hour total).
My name is Jeannette Baur, and I am excited to bring my professional experience to the team at Brainwaves Float Studio & Wellness Center. I hold a master’s degree in psychology from Duquesne University and have spent the past 30 years working in the mental health field in both outpatient and school-based settings.
Over the past three years, I have developed a deeper interest in the mind-body connection and the role wellness practices can play in supporting overall well-being. Through my own wellness journey, I discovered Reiki and was inspired to pursue additional training and become a certified Reiki Practitioner.
Drawing from both my professional background and my Reiki training, my goal is to provide a calming, supportive Reiki experience that encourages relaxation, personal reflection, balance, and an overall sense of well-being.
Reiki generates a positive healing environment for the body, influences mood, coping skills and a stronger sense of self emotionally and mentally, and brings peace and restoration spiritually. It is used in the medical field to assist in relaxation and recovery.

Cleansing Movement is a cleansing of energy in motion. Moving through and removing of obstacles whether you have a specific intention or you are coming in allowing the body to unfold its needs through the practice. We will use grounding and visualization to open the intention. Then, we will bring vibration to the intention and move that vibration through the body through movement, expanding the energy to the subtle body, guiding the self through the strength in the center and softening the outer edges of the body. This will create space for stronger more synergistic movement removing blockages and resistance allowing for more ease and flow.
